Region VIII Chlamydia Project Advisory Committee (RAC)
Region VIII has an Advisory Committee that was formed in 1992 to ensure the continuous implementation of the goals of the National IPP.
In accordance with the National IPP, project area representatives from Family Planning, STD and Laboratory have voting privileges within the Advisory Committee. The Committee meets twice a year, usually in May and November to address regional issues as well as regional progress regarding the Chlamydia Project including setting project priorities, establishing regional screening and treatment guidelines as well as bringing together surveillance and epidemiologic activities).
