JSI/Denver, the Region VIII IPP Coordinating Agency, has received one-time special funding to provide scholarships for travel to the CDC 2010 National STD Prevention Conference for Advisory Committee members who are not STD Program staff. Please see the guidance below:
Conference Support Guidance:
For the initial $10,000 awarded to each region, priority for scholarship/travel support is given to non-STD IPP-related program personnel (family planning and/or laboratory) who are primary authors whose abstracts are selected for oral, poster or workshop presentations or for symposia (and whose travel is notsupported through CSPS or other funds). State family planning contacts and other non-authors are second-level priority.
The same guidance applies for the additional $10,000 awarded, targeting non-federal STD program personnel, EXCLUDING the program manager/director whose travel support was a 2012 CSPS grant requirement. Authors first (regardless of project area) followed by interested personnel.
